One of five Scottish terrier breeds, developed in the Scottish Highlands to hunt badgers, foxes, and vermin. Originally called Aberdeen Terriers after the Scottish town where they were developed. The breed became especially popular after President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Scottie "Fala."
